type='text'>Summer 2010</title><content type='html'>So what's going on over here with the Dugan Kinetics team?&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;We are still on schedule to receive STC this year, expecting late summer. We have completed some of our planned FAA related flight testing and additional performance testing. We will be flying through July doing more of the above. We've been entertaining visitors interested in "kicking the tires" and such.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;As for the market, things have been progressing very well. With the economic position of the airline industry, proven money makers like the MD-80 are suddenly not the bad guy. Its the mounds of debt that sink ships. The market is consistently telling us they are prepared to invest in the MD-80, especially when it is an investment that will be returned ten fold in years to come.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Based on current negotiations, production and certification, Dugan Kinetics expects to be delivering kits in 2010.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br type='text'>The MD-80....to be....or not to be</title><content type='html'>It's funny because some operators have this attitude about the MD-80 like it's the worst part of their fleet that just "needs" to be rid of. Surely they cite operational costs...like fuel burn. I don't hear a lot of mention about the new debt that comes with the newer fleet though...&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Then we have several operators that are buying these MD-80's up as soon as they come available. The funny part is how many of these operators are doing quite well financially. Of course, they have a conservative attitude about liabilities.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Is there really anything out there right now, that is "that much" better than the MD-80? Or, are operators just wanting a newer fleet? Is it worth the MILLIONS of dollars in new debt to have a newer fleet that isn't really that much better? Well, there are several operators that answer NO.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Thankfully, the worst part of the MD-80 (fuel consumption)...is the best part of our program (major fuel savings). I'm obviously on the side of the MD-80...."to be"...at least for a while longer. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I mean really...excessive debt right now? in this industry &amp;amp; global economy? Currently in Tucson, AZ &amp;amp; should be ready for testing shortly.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;There's practically a line of investors wanting in on this revolutionalizing invention for the famed &amp;amp; reliable MD-80 aircraft.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The vibe right now at DK is.....work, work, work. Time is money, lets get this project off the ground!
